These are events that you go to in order to better yourself in your field of work. The events may include company info sessions, LinkedIn workshops, internship panels, etc.
General meeting
General meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month. We discuss what we have planned for the semester and give an overview of what we want to happen throughout the semester.
Volunteer opportunities
Once a month the ASME puts together a volunteer opportunity for the members. This is great for students wanting to give back to their local Lubbock community while at the same time building their resume.
Social events
Junkyard wars is our biggest event of the year. The idea of behind it is to get scrap metal from a junkyard and repurposing it for the challenge. The challenge is changed every semester. Other social events include our annual chili cookoff, Park Day, and the departmental picnic.
